Oasis Wellness Partners - Reiki Therapy

Reiki is a therapy that promotes energy healing. Reiki Masters use their hands to hover over the body or give gentle touch to deliver energy. The practice is most used to promote relaxation and reduce stress or anxiety.

Redirecting and giving energy to the body helps clients recover from anesthesia, strengthen the immune system, improve mental clarity, provide a sense of general and spiritual well-being, and alleviate the side effects of conventional medical treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.

The goal of Reiki is to help your energy, therefore your body and mind, let go of dis-ease and thereby eliminate the diseases that arise from the stresses and traumas. These persistent patterns of stress cause interruptions of the energy pathways flowing through the body, which in turn can manifest into physical ailments or mental fatigue.

Reiki is sometimes called ‘laying of the hands,’ as some reiki practitioners touch their clients when delivering reiki treatments. Other practitioners maintain distance and never physically touch the client, and some do a bit of both depending on the client’s level of comfort. The length of a Reiki session is dependent on the recipient’s needs and can vary from minutes to an hour or more. You will have the time to discuss and set expectations and intentions with your practitioner ahead of your session.

Reiki at Oasis is accomplished in one of our Wellness Suites, either laying on your back or seated, whichever position is most comfortable for you. Recipients of a Reiki session most often report a sense of well-being, grounding, and relaxation during and after their treatment. Contact Oasis Wellness Partners to set an appointment for a Reiki session.
